system domain

Definition:
system area with defined boundaries, in which the activities of use cases take place and in which the overall energy system can be coarsely classified by the physical current and by the ifnromation flow

NOTES:
a Classification in domains is also laid out in the NIST or IEC roadmap with the domains generation, transmission, distribution, customer, markets and operations. To allow a meaningful bundling of use cases, a further breakdown of the overall system may make sense.
