energy management system

Definition:
a computer system, also distributed installed on embedded devices and gateways in different action domains of the energy system (i.e. customer site-related, distribution grid related, transmission grid releated or energy market related energy management), comprising a software platform providing basic support services and a set of applications providing the functionality needed for the effective operation of electrical generation and transmission facilities.
